Generative Competitive Research

18 years of fieldwork, in numbers

GCR has run 338 studies since 2009 — quantitative and qualitative, tracking and ad-hoc, across 33 sectors and more than 15 cities in Colombia and LATAM.

The record below is published in aggregate: no client names, no per-study dates. It is the evidence behind everything else on this site.

Respondents by collection method

Face-to-face and CATI carry the bulk of the sample — the methods that reach people large online panels miss.

What we have done in your category.

Health & Pharma 57 studies
Patient-journey work, health-professional research, and competitive and pipeline briefings — with adverse-event reporting and compliance framing built into the fieldwork rather than bolted on afterwards.
FMCG 40 studies
Concept and pack testing, shopper and category work, and the archive of past concept tests that most clients have never gone back to.
Automotive 23 studies
Competitor launch, price and advertising tracking; model sentiment and defect-signal work; the drivers behind electric-vehicle adoption.
Banking 15 studies
Competitor product, pricing and fee tracking; complaint themes and sentiment; churn drivers read from data the client already held.
Agriculture 8 studies
Grower and breeder research across languages, the drivers behind input adoption, and continuous monitoring of sentiment and competitor activity in agricultural inputs.
Also fielded
Insurance, telecommunications, energy and utilities, government and NGO. Where a sector is thin in our ledger we will tell you on the call rather than implying depth here.

Book a call with a senior researcher

Tell us the decision you're facing. A senior researcher will help you diagnose it — no sales pitch, and no obligation to run a study.

So a researcher can reach you directly if that is faster than email.

The more concrete, the more useful the call. This is the field we read first.

Preferred time for the call Optional

Just a preference. We confirm by email.

How to read the ledger

How many studies has GCR delivered?

338 studies since 2009 — 229 quantitative and 109 qualitative — across 33 sectors and more than 15 cities, with 111,715 respondents in total. 179 of those are tracking studies and 159 ad-hoc.

Why are no client names published here?

Because client confidentiality is not something we trade for marketing. The whole record is published in aggregate — no client names, no per-study dates, no attributable results. The brands shown on the logo wall are organizations we have worked with; nothing on this site attributes a specific finding to any of them.

What counts toward the respondent total?

Only methods that carry a sample: focus groups, in-depth interviews, CATI, CAWI and face-to-face. Project management, desk research, mystery shopper, ethnography and central location tests are excluded from the respondent sums, because counting them would inflate the figure with work that does not produce a comparable base.

Are these figures where the fieldwork ran, or where the clients are?

The studies, sectors and respondents describe fieldwork we ran. The client-origin chart is a separate thing: it shows where the commissioning organization is headquartered, which is spread across a good deal more of the world than the region we field in. The two should not be read as the same map.

Can I see the underlying data?

Yes, in aggregate. The studies ledger publishes method, sector, sample size and year for the full record, with the same no-names policy. It is the source behind every figure quoted elsewhere on this site.

Does depth in a sector mean you can work in mine?

Not automatically, and we would rather say so. Some sectors in the ledger are thin — a sector with one study behind it is named without a count for exactly that reason. On the call we will tell you plainly whether our experience in your category is real depth or a single project.
